Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Brain2Git, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

Brain2Git converts spoken voice notes into structured GitHub issues using AI transcription and text generation, then optionally creates those issues in GitHub repositories you connect via the Brain2Git GitHub App.

3. Accounts

You authenticate via GitHub OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your GitHub account and for all activity that occurs under your Brain2Git account.

4. Bring Your Own Key (BYOK)

Brain2Git does not provide AI provider credentials. You supply your own API key from a supported provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Groq, or OpenRouter). You are solely responsible for:

• Any usage costs charged by your AI provider.
• Complying with that provider's own terms of service and usage policies.
• Keeping your API key valid and adequately funded.

5. GitHub Integration

You control which repositories Brain2Git can access through the GitHub App installation flow. Brain2Git creates issues in those repositories on your explicit action only — we never create, modify, or delete content in your repositories without you initiating it.

6. AI-Generated Content

Issue titles, descriptions, acceptance criteria, and labels are generated by AI models based on your voice input. AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing and editing generated issues before they are created on GitHub. Brain2Git makes no warranty regarding the accuracy of transcriptions or generated content.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data or accounts.
• Interfere with or disrupt the service's infrastructure.
• Use the service to generate abusive, illegal, or harmful content.

8. Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of your voice recordings, transcripts, and generated issues. Brain2Git claims no ownership over your content. The Brain2Git name, logo, and application code remain the property of their respective owners.

9. Termination

You may stop using Brain2Git and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or abuse the service.

10. Disclaimer of Warranty

Brain2Git is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Brain2Git and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to AI provider costs, data loss, or inaccuracies in generated content.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Continued use of Brain2Git after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
